Recent accomplishments: Presentations: At the 2011 California State Bar Annual Meeting, Flashpoint founder, Shirish Gupta presented on 4 topics -- the most of any speaker. Earlier that week, he presented to the Ventura County Bar Association’s Business Litigation Section. Litigation: We have filed class action lawsuits alleging that food manufacturers Kashi Company, Kelloggs, Naked Juice Company and Pepsico are deceiving consumers by including artificial ingredients in their “all natural” foods: Bates v. We filed a class action lawsuit against Apple on behalf of purchasers of the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. According to the Complaint, the iPhone wireless signal meter misrepresents the amount of signal that is actually being received. Patel v. Corporate: We represented the lead investor in a Series A Preferred Stock financing. We obtained two trademarks for one of our “taco truck” clients. We formed and drafted stock option plans for a few of our start-up clients. We reviewed a draft real estate lease and helped the client develop a negotiating strategy with the landlord. We negotiated and drafted software license agreements for iPhone and iPad developers.
